Pansori Azit Nohlae Box 'Pansori Short Stories Vol.2'

As the second story in the “Pansori Azit Nohlae Box <Pansori Short Stories Vol.2,” this solo pansori performance embodies the subtlety of human affairs and the charm of short stories depicted by Guy de Maupassant. Singers Lee Ye-rin, Lee Seung-min, and Hwang Ji-young bring "A Piece of String," "The Colonel's Ideas," and "Bed No. 29" to life, each infusing their unique style into Maupassant's delicate realism, showcasing their talents not only as singers but also as storytellers. These are short stories akin to fleeting dreams from the night before—brief yet lingering in the mind all day. Director Park In-hye focuses on the nature of short stories that compel us to move on even when left feeling unsettled, wistful, or caught off guard, portraying this as a reflection of human life. As pansori ends with a whirlwind, so too do Maupassant’s stories portray the diverse realities of human experience, seen through the eyes of the singers. This invites the audience to ponder "How do humans live?" and ultimately, "How should humans live?"
