The owner started selling side dishes at his own stall after his brother's business failed. She named the shop 'Soonhee's Banchan' after her eldest daughter. Nowadays, everyone uses the name 'Soonhee', but the original 'Soonhee' in Gwangjang Market is Soonhee's Banchan, which is the pride of the owner.
